The Latest News from The Cube.
October 16 – The Cube is now open until 7pm M-F. Engineering students should have external access to H.M. Comer Hall until 7pm, but there seems to be some problems with this access. We are currently working to fix this problem.
September 5 – John M. Allen IV donated a race car simulator to The Cube. This simulator will be used by both the Alabama Crimson Racing Team, and other engineering students, and will help students translate engineering design changes into the actual racing experience. Allen, a 1979 UA College of Engineering graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, was named in 2018 a UA Distinguished Engineering Fellow in acknowledgement of his vast professional, military and philanthropic achievements. Active in the sport since 2013, Allen is quick to see the connection between sports car racing and the educational programs offered in the UA College of Engineering.
